35 years… seems a little heavy but not incredibly unreasonable. Just a sad story all the way through. Young kids lives are ruined in a split second over high school sports drama in the stands.
thats not what happened here. as i already said and as the jury clearly agreed on, this was not a case of self defense. there is plenty of racial injustice in this country and plenty of black people who have been unfairly prosecuted, but thats not what happened here.
i was speaking to the evidence and what we know transpired leading up to the stabbing. why is that difficult for you to understand saliva?
I agree the killer should get life in prison. I wonder how the parents feel of the kid that died compared to all of the parents that lost their daughters in the school bombing in the war Trump started.
I don’t believe in the death penalty. I think if you kill someone like that you should get life though. Just my opinion. A LOT of decisions led to that moment.
You’re an idiot. That’s already been proven many times. Tell me about your fake degree again dumbass.
use of deadly force within stand your ground laws does not apply here. Deadly Force: You can only use deadly force if you reasonably believe it is immediately necessary to prevent imminent death or serious bodily injury, or to stop the imminent commission of violent felonies such as aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, or aggravated robbery being shoved, even when not provoked, does not constitute imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury. if he had stabbed the dude when he was being beaten, held down, piled on top of, or physically restrained then i would agree that he should not have been charged, but that does not appear to be what happened here.
the kid was in the wrong for telling karmelo to move and he was absolutely in the wrong when he assaulted him. doesnt justify being murdered, but the kid who died was not not-at-fault in this incident. he provoked the confrontation, which is why i dont think karmelo should get the max. lesson for all is that you dont put your hands on people.
for the second time, youre wrong. shoving someone is considered assault in texas. if you are unaware that the kid shoved anthony before the stabbing then that means you are ignorant on the facts of the case. if you are claiming that shoving someone is not assault then that means you are ignorant on the law. so which one is it?
