Again, you’re full of ****. Neither of you would care about Karmelo if he was white. None of you would be backing the self defense bullshit argument. Actually, you wouldn’t give 2 ***** about any of the cases brought up here in this thread. you will always take the side against the white guy. Because you are a racist
This is just a sad part of our society. Metcalf's mother and father have both had their homes swatted, with one such incident resulting in a SWAT team showing up to Metcalf's father's home with their weapons drawn.[37][38] Additionally, both Metcalf's and Anthony's fathers have been forced to leave their jobs after facing harassment and doxxing.[39][40] Angela Tucker, the judge who lowered the bond to $250,000, has also been doxxed and received multiple threats from unknown people. The Federal Bureau of Investigation[41][19] and the local sheriff's office are investigating these incidents.[42]
I agree that the situation was more tense. But the facts of what actually happened don't change based on that. I can envision a scenario where Anthony could reasonably fear for his safety. Outnumbered, being threatened by one or more people much larger than he is. Etc. I can also envision a scenario where it was far less threatening to Anthony. The lack of evidence is problematic. How this many teenagers were around a fight and nobody had their cell phone capturing it is weird. Whether Anthony was morally right to do what he did isn't much my concern, I am more concerned that the legal precedent for self defense is consistently applied for him as anyone else in Texas. Again, given the limited knowledge we have, I see it as likely manslaughter. That's not tiddlywinks.
No. You are extremely sensitive about race and keep bringing it up instead of the facts of the case. That speaks for itself.
Because he’s black. If roles were reversed you’d be screaming hate crime and so would the media. Next they need to arrest that fat **** who was outside the courthouse yelling “only good cracker is a dead cracker” at the top of his lungs. Those are terrorist/racist threats to the public. I know some here agree with his sentiment.
Here again, you are ignoring the facts, which is that the prosecutor said the case is not related to race.
I am sick to death of the double standard that guides your thinking. It’s robbed you and others of your ability to see beyond race. If you are calling this self defense, you are guided by race and not logic. A real simple way to find out if someone is anti-white/racist is to ask them if they support BLM and believe in what they're doing. If the answer is yes, you have yourself a racist mfer.
Stabbing someone to death over a “shove” is such an extreme outcome that you can’t reduce the situation to a simple trigger event. Each reaction is unique and should be judged based on the totality of the circumstances, not just framed as a “shove.” Manslaughter, in my view, is also the more appropriate charge. The prosecutor is pushing the argument by saying that, in a couple of minutes (~2 mins), he intended for the situation to escalate so he could use the hidden knife to kill, and therefore acted intentionally.
If the roles were reversed you’d be pushing for 1st degree murder and hate crime. So many on here would.
You played the card. You should explain to yourself. Tomstro: "But it was absolutely a racial hate crime. 100%"
Why not? You would think so if roles were reversed. Luckily Karmelo is so guilty that it doesn’t matter
I was a bit curious about whether there is such a thing as a blind racist. I think there is, so I’m done now.
