We don't need to trade for a top guard, they are available in FA. Grimes at SG, and White at PG.....no need to give up anything. DD
Yeah I like those names. Could be good signings no matter the move. Like if Jamal Murray was available for Jabari/DFS/Reed Jamal Murray FVV/Coby White or Quentin Grimes Amen Thompson Kevin Durant/Tari Eason Alperen Sengun/ Steven Adams
He is on the pay roll for years to come. All he has to do is the same thing he did last year. Nothing. Why would he retire.
In case anyone was wondering, Reed Sheppard was better on both sides of the ball at 21 than Jalen Brunson was at 24....arguably better on both sides of the ball than Brunson was at 25.
I don't think the Rockets are alike in terms of how we're built, but I do think that the Rockets aren't as bad as people in this thread make it seem. In terms of team building the three major differences are 1) High level guard scorer in Brunson and 2) overall team shooting. We have a Kevin Durant which they dont, but that's about it. Oh and 3) a solid plan of execution offensively which is probably the main and only reason why Houston couldnt advance past the first round. NY hardly ever puts up bad shots during the duration of the game. Do they get up easy shots? No, but most shots come from the flow of the game and what they dissect from what the defense gives them. The better the defense, the tougher the shot. But hardly ever is it a "why would you take that?" type of shot. It's the opposite for Houston because a lot of the team the offense is kind of... yeah. Not good. It's chaotic offense on Houston's end. And that will never get you a deep playoff run.
If it was not for Harden and Dream this franchise would be mediocre AF. Yao and Tmac > Sengun and Amen by miles. Keep hoping.
A lot of the fanbase thinks we're actually the Mavericks, ready to trade a potential Steven Nash or Jalen Brunson for win now pieces. Brunson became a star in year FIVE. Steve Nash in year SIX. Harden in year FOUR. Point guards take longer to develop than other archetypes. Trade away FVV, Durant (maybe Sengun) and we'll be a lot closer to the Knicks then.
if we are not that different from the Knicks, it’s in the “we’re all similar to each other because we all bleed red” type of way because on the court, it’s a Grand Canyon sized world of difference
It was pretty obvious atleast to me where Brunson was headed. The Mavs looked like a two headed monster and made a deep playoff run and won big playoff games with luka injured. The Mavs are just idiots.
Nah. No one knew just like the Thunder didnt know. We can say that now but it was a gamble. Paid off for us and paid off for the Knicks (CP3 hamstring whyyy). The road to NBA manager hell is paved with high upside dolts that never pan out. But every once in a while....
Agree for the most part except for coaching...Mike Brown is a better coach than Ime...our coach would never go 10 deep rotation in the playoffs because he gets a hard on playing defensive wings who cant shoot for ****
