They will keep them all. Smart team, doing it right now, not before, but now, they are good. Short contracts for all in now move. They will have more $$$ later....
Problem is Nico is made of glass and will miss at least 4 weeks this season if not more. He always does. Can our passing game handle Nico missing time?
Nico made of glass and Tank with his tiny bird legs breaking like Styrofoam doesn't speak strength. The days of a tough and durable #1 receiver like Andre Johnson are long gone. He didn't miss a single game in 7 of his 11 seasons with us. I love them both, but we will be really really lucky if those two play through the entire season.
I remember Hopkins was also very durable also; played almost every game when he was with the Texans. Wish we still had those types of receivers.
That's been the excuse the few seasons. Then the offense ends up being bottom third in the league. It would be better if it these OTAS were more 50-50 or 60-40 with both defense and offense taking turns looking good. We need to have higher expectations for this offense.
One of my issues with CJ is there’s no zip on his throws. He throws a friendly ball for defenders, he tries to have touch on his throws a little too much instead of zipping it in here before the defense even notice what’s going on. I’m sure there’s examples of him doing it, but it just doesn’t happen enough.
Holding out hope that an above average OL and running game, will cover up CJs issues. With this D we just need the offense to be average and not turn it over.
At some point, we won't be able to pay everyone and Lassiter and Bullock will get top money as they should. IMO CJ has to earn it this year, and I love the kid, but I doubt he will take a lesser deal........$50 million eats a hell of a lot of cap space. Let's say CJ has a sub-par season again, do they trade him for picks and look for another QB in the draft or FA, holy hell that would suck....................TBH I don't want to think of that scenario but its real
