In the Finals last year, Chet also shot 39.5 FG% and 15.8% 3Fg% for 41.1% EFG%

Despite my frustration with Sengun all year, I have to admit, he’s probably the only center in the West who consistently competed his heart out against Wemby and, at times, even outplayed him

Another big reason to keep him.

Lol, the culprits of their serieses, Mobley got swept by the Knicks, Chet does show up against New York.....

Mobley is not the most physical guy......that would be wasting resources.

Also do not think Mobley is a true 7 footer even.

He literally said in his Exit Interview he does not give a shet about the GM job and let Presti do all these things. Yesterday.

The best thing for OKC to do is find a rookie big man in the draft for Chet/Hartenstein insurance. Second-best thing would be to find more shooting. That's going to be tough because the shooter either has to be a really good defender or a good all-around player to even break into their rotation. After that, cross your fingers for better health in the playoffs. I'm thinking Sam Presti does something like that. People say their owner is cheap, maybe he'll push for big changes like letting Hartenstein or Dort walk for nothing.

They drafted a C last year (Thomas Sorber) but he tore his ACL prior to camp and missed the entire season.

It would help but I'm not sure if OKC needs more shooting. Having J-Dub and AJ Mitchell in the lineup would have probably been more than enough to beat the Spurs. They had no roster flaws, but losing their 2nd and 3rd best players chopped them down to size and they still took the Spurs to 7 games.

Hartenstein is expected to return for less money and everyone in the world knows Dort is a goner. I think their fanbase would erupt if they brought him back as a starter. LOL, maybe he could stay as a 9th man.

Presti's got some work to do.

I'm still shocked thinking about it. Not known for his athleticism but 7'1 and over 300lbs doing a chase down two handed block out of nowhere. Don't know if Shaq ever did this. If there are PEDs in the league Kornet is too religious (that moment with the San Antonio nuns) to participate.

Sengun was -20.9 in 4 games against the Spurs this year, by far the worst against any team and averaged 19-9-6 on his characteristically mediocre shooting

(By contrast Jokic was +9 on 28-11-9.

I don't think anyone matches up well with Wembanyama, but those early match ups a few years ago when Sengun got the better of him were probably not predictive of anything. This version is simply much better than anything Sengun can hope to compete with
