What is this team doing right now if it's not wasting years?

You are either playing for championships or you are not - this team is not.

If you are content with treading water and being first or 2nd round fodder .... by all means.

You either have the best player on the court most nights or not - this team doesn't have that guy.

Sengun's never going to become a rim protector, Amen's not gonna become a good shooter, Jabari's not going to turn into the man. Reed isn't going to grow 6 inches and become a lock down defender who shoots the lights out.

There's only 2 ways to acquire that guy - get lucky via trade or in the draft. I don't see that guy on the trade market, the only guy who might I don't see Philly trading.
If your goal is championships, you may as well set yourself up for as many bites at the apple as you can.

With the new lottery rules, that doesn't mean being the leagues worst anymore, with the penalties attached to the bottom 3.

Teams 4-10 all have the same odds, seems to me the best way forward, to find that best player on the court most nights is to acquire as many of those picks as possible, regardless of where you actually finish.

The Sixers of the West, and maybe not even the Sixers bc they just got an underwhelming MVP.

I was referring to VJ Edgecombe as a guy who might break out into that star player capable of being the best guy on the court most nights.

    Philly aint trading him.

    I don't see anyone else.

Edgecombe and Maxey are still keeping them relevant for sure......with Morey gone.....curious about their new direction.

Philly never seems to settle, that one is different from Old H-Town.....
