All I see when I watch that video is wonder how da hell he got that team to the wcf? Do you see who he’s out there with?
I fear Stone is stupid enough to bring him back to the Rockets if Harden's available this offseason because the Cavs don't extend him.
Here's the thing, I'd be all for it if the Rockets had a competent head coach who would use Harden in a bench role, because that's what he is at this point in his career. However, we don't have a competent head coach, so we'd see Harden playing 40 minutes a night.
100% agreed, Harden isn't a 40 mil a year caliber player anymore, he's a vet minimum caliber player....another thing he definitely wouldn't accept.
Lol at vet minimum. He is far from a max player but he is no Tate or Green. He could lead the league in assists in the right situation (not here).
He could probably lead the league in assists on a tanking team, sure, but he's a league minimum caliber bench player on a contender.
Harden was a great thing for Houston during his 8+ years here (even without a ring) but there's a reason why he hasn't won a championship and most likely never will and it's been exposed time and time again in the playoffs. He wanders too much on the court allowing other teams to score as much as he contributes. No team fears him and actually make it a point to attack him down the stretch, and is okay with him taking the ball against them on offense as he will most likely turn the ball over in a critical part of the game. Him running Chris Paul out of town was the end of it for me. The Rockets literally had their best chance at winning and Paul couldn't stand the culture Harden was setting in Houston (even though CP is a bit of a d1ck sometimes). CP injury or not, he had tread left to do something for another 3+ years and could've better competed against the Lakers in 2020 than Westbrook did. Instead Harden not only faced the best team in the 20-teens in the Warriors, but then gave up after the Warriors lost their mojo. That still blows my mind. With that said, watch Harden somehow go to the Spurs and become the missing piece for them to win multiple rings. lol
We’re in no position to be laughing at Harden. His team is far better than ours AND they have a brighter future.
Might as well if youre not gonna trade KD. You need to pick a lane. I would want KD traded and no Harden and run with the young guys. If you keep KD however, you need a dynamic point guard and leader. KD cant run an offense and he is far from a leader. At least Harden helps young guys develop. People are attacking Harden right now but with him the Cavs have gotten farther then they ever would have. The knicks are just on another level. Mitchell is almost 30 and has had great teams and this is his first time out of the second round.
Don't rewrite history. Chris ran himself out of town. He is an ******* which is why he got kick to the curb by several teams. He's just like KD in that way. The guys Harden has not gotten along with are usually guys no one can get along with. That being said he is a deep playoff choker but he gets deep in the playoffs. What have we done since he's left? I would much rather run with the young guys but if this gm insists on keeping KD we're not doing anyything of significance without someone like Harden if not him.
Chris Paul went to OKC and was instrumental in teaching SGA how to be a professional, then went to Phoenix where they overachieved making it to the NBA Finals. Maybe he is a ***** but he also knows how to win. Rockets could use someone that has leadership ability. Stone had a chance to acquire him for the vet min this season but he passed.
Cavs ain’t extending Frauden and ain’t nobody trading for no sorry ass Brick Ross. Cleveland stuck with a $42M bum ass loser next year. Cannot play with him, cannot win with him, cannot coach with him... can't do it! Congratulations Frauden fanbois (AGAIN) and Cleveland. You played yourselves.
