Don't worry - the Democrats will find a way to screw it up over the next couple of years.

They will either dive into wasting everyone's time with congressional investigations of everyone associated with Trump, or they will Impeach him for a third time...... or they will decide that they are concerned with identity politics, when Americans are over that.

If they want to win and win consistently, they need to entirely focus on affordable housing, increasing employment, job pay -- avoiding wars, place some distance with Israel and develop public works/infrastructure building. Restore ties with allies and improve border protections and develop a pathway to citizenship for aliens here long term and that do not have a criminal record.

 

And just like that MAGA doesn't give a **** about Trump going to war, high gas prices or increasing food costs......

I agree that those are good policies for the Dems to focus on. That being said, I don't see a problem with them conducting investigations and possibly even an impeachment vote, as long as it is related to a charge of "Bribery and Corruption." This would allow them to focus the public's attention on the unprecedented amount of grift and corruption by the Trump Crime Family. Put on evidence of the billions being raked in by Trump using his position of power, as well as the corrupt pardons to multiple fraudsters in exchange for donations. Make the Republicans on the committee try to defend it, and/or whataboutism about Hunter Biden selling a few ugly paintings and making $50,000 per month from a Ukrainian oil company.

They should steer clear of any charge or investigation on "abuses of power", and keep it focused on the corruption. It was the rampant corruption that finally got the Hungarian public to rise up and cast off Orban, after 16 years of putting up with his "illiberal democracy" and consolidation of power.
