Harden (and Luka for that matter) bait people into fouls. You may not like that too, but its not the same as what SGA or Chet do. They don't just throw themselves across the floor without contact and not even attempt to score. I didn't like when Harden would do the arm lock, because that was him creating the foul. But more often than not, it was him duping an opponent into reaching when they shouldn't be. He took a lot of legitimate contact and was willing to do so.

 

Because we have an idiot for a GM who thinks improving the team is pointless.

Harden is such a clown. On nearly every jumper he just falls down on his rump hoping for whistle. In fact, sometimes it hurts his team because he can't get back to defend.

 

Don't you think a lot of fan bases are asking the same thing? There were questions about McCain and when second year players are traded by teams that drafted them, it's usually a very bad sign. The Sixers had Maxey, Edgecomb and Grimes ahead of him and couldn't have done McCain (and OKC) a bigger favor.

In the Rockets case, I believe Stone was trying to protect Reed from competition for the designated outside shooter role. IMO, this is also why he didn't secure Luke Kennard at the deadline. The Lakers gave up the equivalent of a pack of chewing gum with a bow on top for him.

 

McCain was one of the best rookies in his class. Played 26 mpg before the season ending injury. Yeah, Philly's backcourt was too crowded and they did him a solid to trade him.

OKC already had a lot of shooters. And they still went out and get him.

OKC took the flier because they have a small roster cull coming up this offseason. Dort and at least 2-3 others are goners. McCain is locked up for two additional years at rookie scale before becoming a RFA.

Boston is similar. The annoying part about this is that Lakers fans are kinda right, theyre just the wrong fanbase to lead the charge considering they basically "produce" wins in a similar style with one of the biggest foul grifters in the league.

OKC is like watching a high level accountant operate a basketball team. A dude that knows every tax loophole, every way to generate even the most marginal of interest returns, etc and watching it all in action. Its all within the rules but you just know that its incredibly insincere. I mean....Morey's Rockets also weren't that different. I root for a club in England thats kinda doing this as well.
