there was a dude on twitter who said Minny was going to win a championship this year according to his metrics. he predicted the last 3 championship teams according to his system

how was this team in the 6th seed? they got everyone out and still hooping.

They are built to challenge the Nuggets and Spurs because they are the only team in the NBA that can really shut down elite big men. So facing teams that are centered around Jokic and Wemby plays into their hands. If they do ultimately beat the Spurs, they will fail against OKC because its not a big-man centric team.

For this same reason, Denver doesn't need to blow up their team just because of the recent losses. They just need to not run into Minnesota. Outside of that, they are almost (but not quite) on the OKC/Spurs tier.

 

Just not impressed with wemby and blocks. Why do they hype this up? Hes like 10 feet tall with those arms. Its not even skill. Hes blocking shots by default. If he wasnt something is wrong.

im rooting against the spurs. Minny is a team i dont feel gross rooting to win.

thank goodness Ayo hasn't played, the "coulda had this guy" agenda would be so annoying.

I know Wemby is a defensive powerhouse who blocks everybody but these refs need to start calling his goaltends. He is getting away with several a game.

 

Minny is pretty inconsistent to predict, they are actually pretty good on paper.

Toughest team I have seen that plays Defense and shoots 3s.....likely not build for the season rather postseason.

Too bad they have Joker, Luka and SGA, now Wemby in WC, otherwise I think they should have gone to the Finals 2x.

Also how was Minny allowed to trade Mike Conley and then have him sign back with them immediately.

And he was on waivers after Charlotte released him. How did Stone not try to claim him? He would have been a starter on our team

 

Liked how they made adjustments to neutralize Wembys defense. That’s a coach. See a problem. Work on a solution.

 

They were inconsistent all year long looking like two different teams at times...looks like that might just have been they weren't locked in and now they are.
