I don't get the fascination with the gas pump either. I understand it being a measure that leads to higher food transportation costs etc. However, we had and still have bad food inflation, and even though the cost difference is way more than filling up every other week -- all we hear about is gas prices. We will tolerate mental health issues --- homeless --- children being trafficked --- kids killed in schools --- the destruction of homeownership --- massive deficits --- spending half of taxes on wars and "defense".... and falling behind on life spans........ but by fukking God, we will not pay more at the gas pump, while we drink a $5 monster we just got from the same gas station.
