Does he actually care about winning, or just selling tickets?

Since he took over, there’s no clear direction—just reaction after reaction.

The Russell Westbrook trade was a panic move. Gave up picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a bad fit.

Then gave the Brooklyn Nets pick back chasing leverage for Kevin Durant / Devin Booker… when it wasn’t even needed.
(Still could of gotten KD without it)
How do you even give back a 2026 pick, did they not scout and see who might be available at the time???

That’s the problem—no patience, no plan.

Pick a direction or stay stuck. This isn’t how you build a contender.

that man checked out once Harden got traded and now the Rockets are basically like when the parents leave on vacation and the kids start throwing house parties and doing all sorts of bullsh*t just trashing the place

Well he ain’t selling tickets either so I don’t know what he cares about other than selling this franchise eventually for 3 times the price he bought it.

Bruh I swear this has been on my mind lately about almost EVERY business and industry lately.

Music, Movies, Sports, even government is falling victim to enshitification.

Now imagine when AI & robots are actually capable of maintaining high quality results.

Either it will empower us to make our versions of everything we want at high quality or it will enable all of these greedy unoriginal capitalist to be even more efficient with enshitification.

He doesn’t really show much real attachment to this team. It feels like the focus is more on keeping costs low and maximizing profit than building something competitive.
He’s not operating like a die-hard fan—more like a businessman managing an asset.

If you ever make it to Columbia, Tn. Try the Smashburger at Whiskey Alley Saloon. Half Wagyu, half Lamb with truffle fries or if you prefer mushroom Brie soup, or both. Identify yourself and it’s on the house.

Everybody b****ed when he was involved...
saying CPs contract sucked, supposedly pulling the trigger for WB....
    Theoretically running off Morey...

Everybody said he should leave the bball decisions to the guys running things...

so, it appeared to me that he took a step back...
now whether it was by design or desire to pursue other stuff... idk..

but point is that folks wanted him to be hands off, right?

Ha, don’t even know who that is. I’m 68. Edit lol, thought it was a singer. Nashvile hot chicken is just this regions version of Popeye’s. Their both pretty damn good when you’re craving fried.

One day I will get out that way. I am in East Tennessee every couple of years and will take a detour to Nashville some day.
