I might have to give it a rest for a big chunk of next season at a bare minimum. In fact, I think I will, if they don't, at a bare minimum: 1) Bring in a new lead assistant coach to take over offensive planning for the team 2) Trade at least some veterans for younger talent that can shoot the damn ball 3) Get back into the first round of the 2026 draft
There is zero percent chance the org would say anything at this point other than “we like our guys and want to keep them all”. That has no correlation with what the actual preferred plans are this summer. It’s just what you have to say. If you think there would ever be an article that says “The Rockets FO has decided to trade Sengun, or trade KD etc”… Idk what to tell you. Stone is a lawyer, and a sharp one. Message discipline in order to maintain negotiation leverage is in his bones.
What does it matter when Lil Fajita is the one running the show? We just have to hope he watches some informative basketball YouTube vids or attends a summer clinic and keeps improving as head of basketball operations.
