i think Harden is immature in a different way. KD is more demonstrative and Harden is passive aggressive. thats why KD said he understand Harden in the KD files.

We’re all immature in ways but Durant seems to have never progressed past high school

 

Sengun's advanced numbers (at least the ones available on basketball-reference) have been nearly identical for 3 straight years. I thought for sure after this summer's massive success leading Turkey that he'd make that leap.

I think for his contract he's providing some of the best value in the league, but I think we're overvaluing him as a potential superstar.

What choice did they have? I had no doubt it was him from the beginning or he would have denied it publicly. He’s just a little boy in a man’s body. Very immature person. I hope he asks out. That is the only way Stone will acknowledge his mistake.

 

He's worse than that. LeBron is a little boy in a man's body playing with dolls and living an insecure life. Durant I think is closer to a genuine sociopath. He's the type of guy who doesnt feel remorse for bad things he does, constantly needs people to tell him how good he is and will straight up say things he knows are lies. The press conference he gave about how he wanted to be and finish out his career....was all an act. Its always been an act. He's probably closer to Kawhi and his con artist uncle.

 

The problem with the "move past it" approach is that it rarely forces accountability onto the person who created the problem in the first place. Instead, it puts all the pressure on those affected by the trouble-maker to "move on" without providing them any kind of remedy. It's like the principal disciplining both kids for a fight when one was clearly the instigator - it's lazy at best and often times toxic.

I would feel a lot better about the team chemistry if Durant had admitted to this and apologized publicly. Unfortunately, I don't sense that he'd be willing to admit guilt publicly nor do I sense that our coach, GM or owner would understand the value of such.

I read an interview with Keith Richards many years ago, where he admitted his view of the universe was completely skewed because he's been a rock start since he was a teenager (specifically, he said he'd had women throwing themselves at him since he was a teenager).

Similarly, Kevin Durant has been treated like a basketball god since he was even younger than Keith was when the Stones started. As we now know, the brain matures well into our 20s. Thus, it makes sense that the maturation process can be deeply affected by abnormal stimuli during the teen years, and there is nothing more abnormal than having everyone around you cater to your whims 24/7.

So in some sense, KD was pretty much doomed to never mature into a normal person. He's gotten away with childish behavior that would normally be called out, all because he can throw a ball in the hoop better that just about anyone.

 

Why is that report given now. why not after it happened. The only thing I get from it is that the Rockets be like, yup, it was him. he guilty AF
