Big difference between Tari and KD + playoffs vs regular season, but agreed

Why is there a difference? You mean Tari can miss games without being called a quitter but KD has to be there no matter what? He missed like 3 games the entire year cant even miss a game from the bench without being accused of quitting on the team.

I think Durant is actually hurt. He needs to be on the bench supporting his teammates though, the rehabbing can wait now till the rockets are out, and who knows he might be there tonight, I know he was there for one of the home games.

But the dude loves playing basketball. He has flaws, but he loves to play. I don’t think he would quit on the team, not for his love of the players, but just because he loves to play.

Didn't we have this conversation about Dream in 1992?

I think its a possibility the organization shut him down, due to the fact they want to see if the YOUNGSTERS can really play.....Sengun, Jabari, Tari, and Amen

They didn't shut him down. They added him to a team with no shooters to try and win. They don't want to get beat by the Lakers. Plus, Ime and Stone shouldn't have jobs after this year. Those two are the problem not KD

Gotta disagree. I don't know if you played but depending on the severity of the ankle sprain it's very tough. Plus, factor in the bone bruise

It depends on the sprain, there's some you can play through, there's some you can't. I don't think KD deserves the benefit of the doubt given the totality of the circumstances.

There's definitely different sprains. If it's high ankle then he can't play. That's a 4-6 week injury. I just don't think he'd just automatically quit. He's been hurt the entire series. It's not like the Lakers are a scary team. Especially without their best player in Luka. I could be wrong because I do agree there is a reason to doubt him.

If it was a super bad sprain, I don't feel like they'd have said he was a game time decision in game 3 and 4, that's why I don't give him the benefit of the doubt. I think KD is afraid that he'll take too big of a hit losing to old man Lebron if he actually shows up on court and still loses.

I just think Houston is as vague as can be on injuries. Plus, it happened in practice so there's no way to verify it so that's a competitive advantage. Your position is fair. Honestly the series should be 2-2 if they didn't blow the game and miss the Smart free throw violation. He looks worse if the Rockets pull it off and he's on the sidelines. He's getting **** on anyways

KD's "story" is more media narrative worthy + feeds into the burner phone narrative.

If KD was healthy and ready to play - he would be playing.

Yeah, I don't buy that for a second...he played game 2......and was pretty normal.

We are a better team on both ends without him.

They don't want to trade him. They want him to be healthy for next season that's why he sits. He doesn't want to play for an entirely different reason though and it isn't something i can accept as a fan.
