Of course the Rockets would be better with 32 year old Adams and 32 year old FVV playing next to 37 year old Durant. The problem is that it is unlikely you will ever have all 3 healthy and playing well at the same time.... and we are getting to the point where there aren't many "next years" left.

As far as whether or not the Rockets would win? My answer is - the sure as hell had better have won.

The fact that the Rockets after a massive load of draft picks and 60 million in cap space are relying on three guys in their 30's with injury issues is damning to where the Rockets are at.

If we had FVV we might have had 100 points. If the Lakers had Luka they might have won by 50.

I honestly think they played hard, they just don’t know how to shoot.

I've never seen a coach with the worst excuses after a loss.

The Rockets shot 29 for 77 outside of Kevin Durant.

For an entire game the Rockets shot 36% from the floor.

The Rockets have made a total of 11 three pointers in two games.

The Rockets right now appear to have used an enormous amount of draft capitol for what boils down to 3-4 role players.

Yep. Of course, I'm mostly right. I said FVV haters would say FVV would not make a difference. Your sarcastic response while not exactly what I predicted is very close.

If the Rockets were great this year, it would prove FVV was holding the Rockets back.
Now that the Rockets basically show almost all the signs of a team needing a PG, FVV is not enough.

I apologize for the sarcastic response. Last night was traumatic for us all. Just don’t think the terrible product we are seeing on the court can all be blamed on Fred. And I’m tired of hearing the silver bullet Fred excuse.

It's unfathomable how unprepared and unorganized the Rockets look in this series. They are getting embarrassed.

Embarrassed with everyone watching (well, maybe not the rest of us east coasters at like 1:30 AM). Under-prepared, poorly coached, poor execution, no play calls. Lebum and a bunch of role players are owning a team with KD and Sengun, along with 3 top-4 picks from the past 4 years

"Play tougher. Don't be soft. We are playing well enough defensively, but can't score.. Reed Sheppard, nah. Don't need his scoring". Well done, coach. Good job. Looks like a pouty, passive aggressive clown out there. Every time he's shown on TV, looks like he's muttering curse words at somebody lol

It is damning that the Rockets' young guys have not been better.

On FVV, my comment was about the persistent myth that FVV was holding back the offense. Based on your comments, I take it that you agree that FVV was not holding back the Rockets.

I take this as a jab at Stone. On the massive load of draft picks, Stone is mostly responsible for amassing the massive load of draft picks.

I am amazed that we had zero adjustment for the KD double teams in the second half. We just kept half-heartedly doing the same thing: struggling to get the ball to KD well beyond the 3pt line for an iso attempt. KD is a god tier scorer, but isos from 30 feet are where he turns the ball over the most and sure enough it kept happening.

At least try a mid-post possession or something. And the one time they tried getting the ball to him in motion in the 2nd half it resulted in a well defended corner three so I guess they said F that too.
