Jalen Green is the reason why I never believe players can somehow make gigantic leaps just because they are young. With the exception of a few niche cases, you are what you are in your 2nd or 3rd season. Most players in those draft classes have kinda stagnated or only made minor improvements since year 3. This includes Barnes, Mobley, Paolo, even Sengun to an extent. But at least these players are stagnating at an all star level. Jalen is just stuck as a inconsistent, inefficient volume scorer like he was year 1.
Last night, for the first time this season, Rockets fans finally got to see the Jalen we all know and love. Fortunately, he was helpful in the Rockets win because he wore a Suns jersey.
They should have never traded for Durant and Beal..... If it was to please Booker long term, should have split ways too.
I wonder if it’s any scenario we can trade back for Dillon for DFS? I would even give suns a 1st round pick back for like Dillon & Grayson Allen or Gillespie That would be the ultimate finesse to get Dillon back and Fred comes back and basically just swap Jalen for KD
I don't want Brooks back...because Ime would start him and play him 40 minutes a game. Now, if we had a competent coach, who would use Brooks off the bench, that would be great....but we don't. Ime is the reason I wanted Brooks and FVV gone. He simply can't be trusted to run competent rotations.
Like I’ve said in other threads multiple times. Y’all are ignoring the political side that FVV is the PLAYERS ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT. Meaning the Rockets want Fred as happy as possible because he can turn all the players against our franchise if we do him dirty. And he likes it here. So he’s not getting traded. He most likely retires a Rocket.
That pres title didn't stop CP3 getting shipped outta here with the "worst contract in the league" lol
This is just wrong since players who keep adding to their game keep improving until they reach their peak in their mid 20s unless they get injured or something. Moreover development isnt linear it always comes in spurts so unless you are closely following a player you wont be able to detect improvements quickly. For example Scottie Barnes has developed into a legit 1-5 POA defender his coach plays him almost at every position now. Obv he didnt have that kind of versatility as a rookie otherwise he would have gone 2. With Mobley if you look at his 3 pt shooting although he has backslid this year for some reason he was shooting 37% from 3 last couple of years. For Jalen Green and Paolo Banchero it seems these 2 dont have the work ethic and desire to improve themselves since they have remained the same players with minimal improvements for years now. Also Banchero hasnt stagnated at an all star level he is an extremely inefficient volume scorer and has a broken J. He is quite far from an all star in fact he is a detriment to his team rn they play better when he isnt there.
Jalen's first 50-55 games was by far the worst defensive player in HISTORY without any fundamentals..... He has wasted lots of his time learning AAU basketball......no defensive intensity, just loose bball. He has come a long way.....he is now playable and has some scoring champ moments.......
