Can’t put that on Ime. He wasn’t here when Sengun was benched for a guy who isn’t even in the NBA.

    That’s on Stone.

The funny part about this request to surround the core with actual shooters is that 50% of that core (Reed and Jabari) was supposed to be the actual shooters. :D

That part was not on ime. But ime always wanted to use Sengun as a scorer than a facilitator, which is really his strength.

The elephant in the room is that although Stone did a great job finding Sengun in the draft, he did little to help Sengun develop. IMHO Sengun has reached his current level in spite of Stone, not because of him.

Sengun is likely no higher than the 2nd to 3rd best player in a contending team but he’s the best young player we have. We didn’t get lucky in the lottery, so Sengun became the defacto first option. You’re right, he’s better suited in a Robin or Alfred role instead of Batman.

I think we can add a lot of players to that list. Sengun developing in spite of the situation is more a testament to his own abilities than his coaches I think. Look at how many players we've drafted that just aren't at all what they were supposed to be? How many "generational shooters" do we need to forcefully regress into "average at best" before somebody in the organisation realises we're destroying our own prospects?

They can’t even address the inbounding problem. That alone tells how bad they are at developing players.

and it is not just inbounding. The underlying problem hurts the team constantly. Kd is double teamed or Sengun gets trapped or Jabari has the ball in a situation where he has to dribble. They just need to move off ball to get the ball moving and they don’t. These are practically same as inbounding situations.

ime’s solution is the pg has to solve this problem. And if you don’t have a pg there is nothing he can do. Or off ball screens, movement, oh who needs them, just give the ball to your pg, or someone like kd or Sengun, and let them attack. İme sucks so bad.

Yeah it's actually embarrassing how bad we are at just getting the ball in play. You just know every team in the West wants to face up against us in the playoffs.

a Turkish commentator said everybody knows what the rockets are gonna do in inbounding situations or when they are trying to set up Kd or Sengun. That is so true. The problem is we also know what the defense is gonna do, but it looks like the players don’t. They get to make the same turnovers again and again. You know that the help is going to come, you may not be able to beat it but you can’t play like the help isn’t going to come.

and it is so frustrating to watch the incompetence.

None of our young players have taken a leap after their second season. It can't be a coincidence.

    Fuq dem Clutchfans Alpi.

MF’s think a 22 year old suddenly goes from a top 15 player all Summer and for the first 1/4 of the season to complete ass.

And many of those CF’s burned you for that known franchise killer KDF. Forgive em Alpi - but never forget how fast they turn on you. Hoez just be like that. Iz normal.

    And keep that back healthy!

    3 facts from this season:
1- Healthy back Alpi is a top 15 player
    2- Hoez mad
3- #2 is likely caused by #1 b/c SDS is real

Glad he let it fly from deep on the initial shot instead of a pump fake into desperation heave. Dominated

My guess is you’ll be too much of a little dicky to post now after talking so much trash about Sengun.
